PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylinder discrimination device for an internal combustion engine, discriminating cylinders without using a cam angle sensor, shortening the time required for discriminating the cylinders, and shortening the time that elapses before starting.SOLUTION: This cylinder discrimination device for the internal combustion engine includes: a crank angle sensor which produces equally-spaced pulse signals according to the rotation of the crankshaft of the 4-cycle internal combustion engine with an odd number of cylinders employing a collecting intake configuration and which produces a plurality of reference signals different from the equally-spaced pulse signals at a predetermined crank angle; a reference signal detection means distinguishing the plurality of reference signals; an intake pressure detection means detecting pressure of air supplied to each cylinder of the internal combustion engine with respect to each predetermined period; a storage means storing intake pressure detected by the intake pressure detection means; and a cylinder discrimination means performing cylinder discrimination of each cylinder of the internal combustion engine based on the plurality of reference signals and pressure of an intake pipe when the internal combustion engine is started. |
