POLYESTER MONOFILAMENT AND INDUSTRIAL WOVEN FABRIC

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester monofilament having both characteristics of excellent abrasion resistance and hydrolysis resistance, necessary and sufficient tensile strength and suitable as a constituent material of industrial woven fabric such as papermaking dryer canvas, and an industrial woven fabric using the same.SOLUTION: The polyester monofilament comprises (A) 1.0-10.0 wt.% of calcium carbonate having an average particle diameter (50% weight diameter from particle size distribution) of 1.0-5.0 μm, (B) 0.1-2.0 wt.% of a monocarbodiimide compound and (C) 1.0-10.0 wt.% nonfunctional silicone oil having a viscosity at 25°C of ≤1,000 cps as components in addition to a polyester-based resin and has a carboxy terminal group concentration of ≤8 equivalents/10g and a tensile strength in accordance with the method defined in JIS-L1013 of ≥3.0 cN/dtex.
