PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for producing a hydrophilic resin capable of obtaining a composite resin material which can modify PP (polypropylene) inferior in affinity with water or the like so as to effectively exhibit the inherent hydrophilicity of pulp through the medium of PVA (polyvinyl alcohol) having excellent wetting characteristics, thereby improves the water absorption of a molded article, and has a function of holding water on the surface of a molded article in addition to antistatic properties.SOLUTION: The process for producing a hydrophilic resin comprises melt-kneading pulp fibers equipped with a step of being impregnated with a surface active agent and thereafter being sprayed with a dispersion obtained by dispersing a thermoplastic resin rich in viscosity into water and a thermoplastic resin which comes to a matrix with a hydrophilic resin showing a lower melt viscosity than the thermoplastic resin or the like. |
