PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a solar cell that improves conversion efficiency of the solar cell, by decreasing the contact resistance between a power generation layer and a back-side transparent electrode layer and decreasing the series resistance of the solar cell at power generation.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to the improvement in the method of manufacturing the solar cell in which the silicon-based power generation layer is formed on a top-side electrode layer of a transparent substrate having the top-side electrode layer formed on a surface and further the back-side transparent electrode layer is formed on the power generation layer, and the method of manufacturing the solar cell is such that processing liquid contacting processing wherein processing liquid is brought into contact with at least a surface of the power generation layer is carried out after the power generation layer is formed and before the back-side transparent electrode layer is formed.
