PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink-jet recording method for providing an image which has quick drying properties, little permeation of ink, high image quality, and excellent scuff resistance for a recording medium whose surface to be recorded has nonabsorbency or low absorbency.SOLUTION: An ink-jet recording method includes the steps of discharging liquid droplets of an aqueous ink composition by heating a recording medium having ink nonabsorbency or low ink absorbency to a temperature range of 50°C or above and 80°C or below and drying the aqueous ink composition discharged on the recording medium by heating the recording medium to a temperature range of 60°C or above and 90°C or below. Recording is performed using the aqueous ink composition containing a water-insoluble coloring agent, a water-insoluble thermoplastic resin particle, a surfactant, a first solvent formed of at least one selected from among 2-pyrrolidone and N and N'-dimethyl propylene urea, a second solvent which is 1,2-hexanediol, and a third solvent formed of at least one selected from among glycol diethers having a boiling point of 240°C or above and 280°C or below. |
