PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device that eliminates the occurrence of continuity failure, reliably ensures the grounding of a discharging member, stably eliminates static electricity of a medium, and reliably prevents the occurrence of the transfer failure of the medium.SOLUTION: The fixing device includes: a fixing member that heats the medium and fixes an image formed on the medium; a pressing member, which is press-contacted with the fixing member, for pressing the medium against the fixing member; a frame member which supports the fixing member and pressing member; the discharging member which discharges static electricity accumulated on the medium; and a separation means, which is connected to the frame member, for separating the medium in the vicinity of the fixing member and/or the pressing member. The separation means includes the discharging member. |
