PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing apparatus or the like which can execute control so that a user cannot freely change a setting file of an application without using the authentication of access or encryption in the application for each application and controlling access to the setting file.SOLUTION: The information processing apparatus for preparing the setting file indicating the setting contents of a built-in application includes: a first storage means for storing the execution file of the application and storing the setting file in the fork; a second storage means for storing a first list file indicating the correspondence of the execution file and the setting file; a monitoring means for monitoring the presence/absence of an access request to the setting file on the basis of the first list file; and an access control means for changing the access request to a read request to the setting file stored in the first storage means when the access request is read as the result of monitoring, and changing it to a write request to somewhere other than the first storage means when it is write.
