PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water pump for a vehicle which can be easily mounted on the vehicle and can properly regulate the supply amount of a fluid according to the operating conditions of an internal combustion engine using a power-saved and miniaturized fluid discharge amount variable means.SOLUTION: The water pump 1 for a vehicle includes: a casing 10; a power transmission member 20 which is supported on the casing 10 and rotated by a power transmitted from a power source thereto; a permanent magnet 21 rotated when the power transmission member 20 is rotated; an inductive element 30 which is disposed so as to face the permanent magnet 21 with the casing 10 interposed therebetween and rotated when the permanent magnet 21 is rotated; an impeller 40 which is fixed to one end of the inductive element 30 and integrally rotated coaxially with the conductive element; an armature 52 which is disposed at the other end of the conductive element 30 and movable in the rotating axis direction of the conductive element 30; a shortcircuit part 53 disposed so as to be able to come into contact with the conductive element 30 when the armature 52 is moved; and an elecromagnetic coil 51 for acting a magnetic force on the armature 52. |
