PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing method of a continuous paper in which an image and a mark can be printed to the continuous paper at a high speed without degrading a printing quality, and to provide a printing apparatus.SOLUTION: The printing apparatus includes a paper feed mechanism 5 which sends the continuous paper A, a head unit 21 which mounts an ink jet head 22, an X-Y moving mechanism 23 which moves the head unit 21 in a main scanning direction and a sub scanning direction, and a control means 7. The control means 7 prints an image B by performing main scanning in an extension direction of the continuous paper and sub scanning in a width direction to the continuous paper A stopped on a paper feed route 4, and also prints a mark C while sending the continuous paper A in the extension direction in a state that the ink jet head 22 is made immovable after printing completion of the image B. |
