PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel electrode material for a solid oxide fuel battery (hereinafter called SOFC), in an SOFC using gas containing ammonia as fuel, without the need of an ammonia decomposition reactor, supplying the fuel directly to a fuel electrode, and capable of controlling an amount of exhaust of ammonia outside an SOFC system to be 5 ppm or less at its steady operation, to provide a fuel electrode formed of the fuel electrode material, and to provide a cell for a solid oxide fuel battery having the fuel electrode.SOLUTION: The fuel electrode material contains: an ammonia decomposition catalyst of at least one kind selected from a group consisting of metals of 6th to 10th group elements of the periodic table; an electrode catalyst; and solid electrolyte particles. The cell for the solid oxide fuel battery includes a fuel electrode formed of the fuel electrode material. |
