PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology contributing to energy saving with a conventional constitution without loading a special device.SOLUTION: An image forming device 10-1 includes: a main control part 11 shiftable between a power saving state where power consumption is suppressed and a normal state where the power consumption is not suppressed, for performing control by interpreting the content of received data; and a sub-control part 12 wherein it is determined whether the data are data aiming at own apparatus or not, relative to the data received from a host PC 20 through a network, and when determined that the data are data aiming at own apparatus, the data are transmitted to the main control part 11, and when determined that the data are not data aiming at own apparatus, the data are not transmitted to the main control part 11. Further, the sub-control part 12 can change a processing content by selecting either of a function preference mode and a power saving preference mode. |
