PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a luminescence measuring instrument sharply accelerated in measuring time required in measurement.SOLUTION: The luminescence measuring instrument, which uses a live cell or individual for developing a luminous reactant, a fluorescent reactant, ciferase or GFP in a test tube or its extract as a sample to measure the luminescence or fluorescence emitted from the sample itself or the sample housed in a container, is constituted of a measuring darkroom 6, a pre-darkroom 7, a measuring darkroom shutter 9, a pre-darkroom shutter 10, a movable part 11 for moving or positioning the sample on the basis of photometric time and photometric standby time, a photometric device 8 for measuring the intensity of the luminescence or fluorescence emitted from the sample and a control part 12. The control part 12 controls the movement and position of the sample through the movable part 11 on the basis of the photometric time measuring the intensity of the luminescence or fluorescence emitted from the sample by the photometric device 8 and the photometric standby time allowing the sample to stand by in the pre-darkroom 7 and also controls the on-off state of the measuring darkroom shutter 9 and the pre-darkroom shutter 10. |
