PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage device that protects privacy and can change an access area according to a user's use situation.SOLUTION: The storage device connectable to an external apparatus includes: a storing means for storing data; an apparatus information acquiring means for acquiring apparatus information on the external apparatus; a user information acquiring means for acquiring user information on the user who handles the external apparatus; a display list generating means for using the apparatus information acquired by the apparatus information acquiring means and the user information acquired by the user information acquiring means to generate a display list indicating data stored in the storing means and accessible from the external apparatus; and a display list output means for outputting the display list generated by the display list generating means.
