PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for examining biomembrane permeability of protein, and a method for examining activity uptaking protein into cells.SOLUTION: There is disclosed a method for examining biomembrane permeability of a target protein, wherein after a fusion protein between the target protein and a C-terminal fragment of a luminescent or fluorescent protein is expressed in a cell, an N-terminal fragment of the luminescent or fluorescent protein is added to detect the presence or absence of luminescence, a change in luminescence wavelength, the presence or absence of fluorescence, or a change in fluorescence wavelength. There is also disclosed the method in which luminescence or fluorescence is produced when the C-terminal fragment interacts with the N-terminal fragment. There is further disclosed a method for examining activity uptaking a target protein into cells, wherein after an N-terminal fragment of a luminescent or fluorescent protein is expressed in a cell, a fusion protein between the target protein and a C-terminal fragment of the luminescent or fluorescent protein is added to detect the presence or absence of luminescence, a change in luminescence wavelength, the presence or absence of fluorescence, or a change in fluorescence wavelength. |
