PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat exchanger of a Stirling engine which can increase a heat exchanging performance and can prevent or suppress the occurrence of noise and wear due to the contact between pipes by comprising a highly dense pipe group formed of a plurality of pipes.SOLUTION: A heater includes a heat transfer pipe group 70A comprising a plurality of heat transfer pipes 71A allowing the working fluid of the Stirling engine to flow therethrough between the two cylinders of a two-cylinder α-type Stirling engine which are disposed in series and parallel to each other. The heat transfer pipe group 70A includes a rise part G1, a down part G2, and a folded part G3 which connects the rise part G1 and the down part G2 to each other so that these parts are reversed. The heater 47A comprises a fixing plate 72 for fixing the plurality of heat transfer pipes 71A at the folded part G3.
