PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screen printing device which improves conversion efficiency by increasing the film thickness and thereby, forming a large circuit pattern with a large aspect ratio of the sectional shape, as well as a screen printing method.SOLUTION: The screen printing device includes a cartridge type squeegee head 13 which supplies a paste for a circuit pattern to the surface of a metal mask 1 under a predetermined pressure, while relatively sliding a squeegee 14 of predetermined length in contact with the upper surface of the metal mask 1. The metal mask 1 includes openings each arranged in the longitudinal direction of the circuit pattern, and a crosslinking part arranged in a direction crossing over the longitudinal direction of the circuit pattern between each of the openings. Further, the squeegee head 13 is relatively arranged to the metal mask 1 to allow the longitudinal direction of the squeegee 14 to run along in a direction which is orthogonal with a direction in which each of the openings and the crosslinking part are arranged. Besides, the squeegee 14 relatively moves to the metal mask 1 in the direction in which each of the openings and the crosslinking part are arranged. |
