The drive has an output element (8) connected with track tongues of a switch. A drive coupling is movable and formed in a recess (17) in a form-fit manner under spring force. The drive coupling is lifted by a digging element from the recess for abolition of form-fit in case of a rear-end collision of the switch by the output element. A collision detector i.e. mechanical movable pin (12), provides an irreversible and continuously upcoming signal when the switch is driven from a blocked end position and from an adjusted drive direction with stationary drive by a wagon into an intersection.
