<p>Disclosed is a portable information display terminal which is capable of preventing entry into standby mode outside of specified states, where automatic entry into standby mode based on the state of the housing is controlled. A portable information display terminal (1) comprises: a housing (20); an inclination sensor (53) which detects if the housing is has changed to a first state or to a second state by detecting the inclination of the housing; and control units (51, 151) which, if the inclination sensor detects that the terminal is in the second state, distinguish and identify that the terminal is in the second state, and also control entry into standby mode.</p> |
