PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power unit for a small vehicle capable of disposing an exhaust system including a catalyzer in the optimum position.SOLUTION: This power unit for a small vehicle includes: an engine body 19 disposed to be extended in front of a crankcase 19a; a power transmission case 16 disposed in rear of the crankcase 19a, supporting rear wheels 4L and 4R; and a muffler 74 supported in rear of the power transmission case 16, swinging relative to a vehicle body. In this power unit for a small vehicle, an exhaust pipe 80 includes the catalyzer 82 between the engine body 19 and the muffler 74, and the exhaust pipe 80 is disposed under the engine body 19, crossing in the right and left direction from one side of the engine body 19 to the other side thereof, and is led upward of the engine 19, passing through a side of the engine body 19 in the vertical direction. The exhaust pipe 80 is connected to the muffler 74 disposed in rear of the power transmission case 16, extending in the back and forth direction over the engine body 19 and over the power transmission case 16. |
