PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescent element capable of attaining longer lifetime and improving the light-emitting efficiency and lowering of the driving voltage.SOLUTION: The organic electroluminescent element includes a substrate 10, an anode 1 formed on one surface of the substrate 10, an organic EL layer 8 formed on an opposite side to a substrate 10 side of the anode 1 and containing at least a light-emitting layer 5, and a cathode 2 formed on an opposite side to an anode 1 side of the organic EL layer 8. The cathode 2 is constituted of a laminated film of a first transparent conductive film 2a; a light-transmitting thin film 2b made of a metal thin film; and a second transparent conductive film 2c, which is laminated in the thickness direction of the organic EL layer 8, and the metal thin film is formed with two kinds or more of metals selected from among a group of silver, indium, gold, magnesium, and tin. |
