PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten measurement time in measurement of wavelength distribution.SOLUTION: A monitoring controller includes a rough compensation value control unit 7 for changing a wavelength distribution compensation value between transmitters stepwise by a prescribed value within a search range of a preset wavelength dispersion compensation value, a determination unit 8 for identifying a measurable range of a BER within the search range based on a BER result between transmitters 3, 4 measured by each wavelength dispersion compensation value changed by the rough compensation value control unit 7, a fine compensation value control unit 9 for changing the wavelength dispersion compensation value between the transmitters 3, 4 stepwise smaller than the prescribed value within the measurable range of the BER identified by the determination unit 8, and an optimum compensation value control unit 10 for making change to the wavelength dispersion compensation value where the BER is minimized based on a BER result between the transmitters 3, 4 measured by each wavelength dispersion compensation value changed by the fine compensation value control unit 9. |
