PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus which accurately extracts the contour of a region having different elasticity within a living tissue.SOLUTION: The ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus comprises a physical quantity data-forming unit which forms physical amount data of a living tissue on the basis of two temporary different echo signals on the same sound ray acquired by transmitting and receiving ultrasonic wave to the living tissue, a display unit which displays an elastic image EG on the basis of the physical amount data formed by the physical amount data-forming unit, and a contour extractor which calculates a threshold of the elastic data on the basis of change rate of the physical amount data between adjacent pixels and extracts the contour of a region C of a tumor by comparing the threshold with the elastic data of each pixel. |
