PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a serial data communication circuit, capable of suppressing degradation of communication quality and is suitable for use such as device control.SOLUTION: The serial data communication circuit 20 performs communication by using a clock line 12 for transmitting a clock signal CLK, a data line 13 for transmitting a serial data signal SD and a latch line 14 for transmitting a latch signal LT including a latch pulse. The serial data communication circuit includes: a bidirectional buffer 21 connected with the data line 13 bidirectionally; a register 23 for fetching data of the serial data signal SD from the bidirectional buffer 21 using the latch pulse; and a level detection circuit 24 for detecting a level of the data line 13 during a latch pulse period. Based on detection results of the level detection circuit 24, the bidirectional buffer 21 switches to a data transmission direction for transmission to the data line 13 just during a predetermined period with timing of the latch pulse as a criterion. |
