PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an analog-to-digital converter, capable of performing highly accurate calibration in a short period of a convergence time.SOLUTION: The analog-to-digital converter includes, for example, two AD conversion blocks ADC_BKa and ADC_BKb having split configuration, and a calibration block CLB_BK installed at their post stage and performing digital self-calibration. The ADC_BKa and ADC_BKb include one-bit DA conversion circuits DAC_1Ba and DAC_1Bb for generating predetermined analog signals in accordance with random number signals from random signal generation units RNGa and RNGb. Stages (1) STG1a and STG1b shift a residual signal in accordance with analog signals from the DAC_1Ba and DAC_1Bb. A third nonlinearity calibrating unit CLB_3RD measures difference values before and after shift in the residual signal and performs calibration such that the difference values become constant. |
