PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a support for a magnetic recording medium capable of obtaining the magnetic recording medium which is excellent in conductivity while preventing the deformation of a magnetic layer, and favorable in durability even after being stored at a high temperature, and improved in the holding performance of a recording signal.SOLUTION: The support for the magnetic recording medium has at least one layer of a polymer layer including a conductive polymer on a resin film where the conductive polymer is composed of a composition including a polythiophene derivative and a poly anion, and an atom number ratio (M/S) of sulfur atoms (S) and elements of the group 1 to 12 (M) in the conductive polymer is 1,000 ppm or higher. |
