PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing molten stainless steel with which the absorption of nitrogen into the molten stainless steel at the tapping time of the molten steel can be prevented.SOLUTION: Molten iron containing chromium is decarburized in a converter 2 and after decarburizing, the molten stainless steel 1 is tapped off from the converter 2 into a ladle 3. At this time, during the interval from starting to finishing of the tapping-off of the molten stainless steel 1, the gaseous or liquidized hydrocarbon fuel is burnt by using gas containing ≥5 wt.% of oxygen gas or 100 vol% of oxygen gas, and the burnt gas 8, in which the nitrogen generated at the burning time is not contained, is supplied into the ladle 3. The total amount of the burnt gas 8 supplied into the ladle 3 is more volume than the inner volume of the ladle 3. That is, in the case of showing the total amount of the burnt gas 8 as V(Nm/min) and the inner volume of the ladle 3 as T(m), they become V>T. |
