A system and a method for automatically deriving a correct blood pressure measurement of a patient (P), by first ensuring that at least two conditions are fulfilled: first, that the patient is in a state of rest and second, that blood pressure is measured at heart level height. The first condition is achieved when the measured pulse rate is stable, and the second condition is achieved by deriving the heart height level of the patient and then disposing the blood pressure sensor (20) at heart height level. |
