摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positive electrode active material for a Li-ion cell with a high discharged capacity as well as superior cycle characteristics, and to provide a method of manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: The positive electrode active material for the Li-ion cell includes rod-shaped LiFePOpowder and carbon nanofiber or nanocarbon, wherein the carbon nanofiber exists in the interior and/or on the surface of the rod-shaped LiFePOpowder or nanocarbon exists on the surface of the rod-shaped LiFePOpowder. The LiFePOcontained in the positive electrode active material can be synthesized in an aqueous solution containing a lithium compound, a metal compound, a phosphate compound, and carbon nanofiber in an inert atmosphere, a reducing atmosphere or a vacuum atmosphere by a microwave hydrothermal method.
