PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To affix a label to a plate-like member so that a conveying space of the plate-like member is reduced as much as possible.SOLUTION: A label affixing device affixes a label L to at least either one of one surface Wa and the other surface Wb of a rectangular plate-like member W having one surface Wa and the other surface Wb, and includes a conveying mechanism 100 for conveying the plate-like member W in an upright state with one surface Wa of the plate-like member W being directed in one horizontal direction Ha along the one horizontal orthogonal direction Va orthogonal to the one horizontal direction Ha, and an affixing mechanism 130 for affixing the label to at least either one of one surface Wa and the other surface Wb of the plate-like member W in the conveying process of the conveying mechanism 100.
