PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid the situation where part of a rubber-like elastic material which is a molding material of a seal member is thinned and is fastened between a reinforcement ring and an end surface of an abutting member.SOLUTION: The sealing member for sealing the annular space between two members mounted to be relatively movable concentrically with each other is fitted and fixed on one of the two members, and is sealed and slides with the other member. The sealing member includes a metallic reinforcement ring having an L-shaped cross section constituted by a cylindrical part and a flange part integrated with an axial one end of the cylindrical part through a connection part having a circular arc-shaped cross section; and a seal member made of an elastic material having a fitting part made of an elastic material integrally provided on a peripheral surface of the cylindrical part and fitted and fixed to the one member, and a lip part integrally provided on the flange part and sealed and sliding with the other member. An annular step part is provided in the vicinity of a joining part of the connecting part of the reinforcement ring and the flange part. |
