PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensively obtainable seismic control device which can be installed in a space-saving manner, which can adapt to a wide range of required load, and which makes temperature dependency and speed dependency small.SOLUTION: A coiled spring 103 is mounted around a shaft 101; and the shaft 101 is put into the state of being tightened with the coiled spring 103. Both ends of the coiled spring 103 are set axially unmovable inside a cylinder 102. When the shaft 101 is axially moved with respect to the cylinder 102, the shaft 101 slides with respect the coiled spring 103; and a force generating the above movement is absorbed by friction in this case. The shaft 101 is attached to one building material; and the cylinder 102 is attached to the other building material. Thus, relative displacement caused between the two building materials by shakes of an earthquake etc. is absorbed. |
