PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of efficiently manufacturing a polypropylene based modified resin having high melt tension, to provide a polypropylene based modified resin capable of being easily manufactured while having high melt tension, and to provide a foam molded article in the sufficient foamed state.SOLUTION: In the method for manufacturing the polypropylene based modified resin, a plurality of polypropylene based resins having different melt mass flow rates and a peroxy dicarbonate are fed to an extruder such that a ratio of the peroxy dicarbonate relative to 100 pts.mass of a total amount of the polypropylene based resins becomes 0.3-3.0 pts.mass, and are melted/kneaded in the extruder to manufacture the polypropylene based modified resin in which the polypropylene based resin is crosslinked by the peroxy dicarbonate. The melt mass flow rate of one polypropylene based resin in the plurality of polypropylene based resins is 0.2 g/10 min to 3.0 g/10 min, and the other polypropylene based resin has the melt mass flow rate exceeding 3.0 g/10 min. The resin particle is produced before melting/kneading by the mixed resin in which these polypropylene based resins are mixed, and the resin particle and the peroxy dicarbonate are melted/kneaded to perform the crosslinking. The method for manufacturing the polypropylene based modified resin is provided. |
