The invention relates to stackable cable drums for mobile television production units for transporting, winding, and unwinding transmission cables (9) by means of a rotationally supported drum body (4) bounded by side disks (5), wherein the stackable cable drums comprise a rectangular-cuboid-shaped, stackable frame (1), which surrounds the drum body (4) in a cage-like manner and which bounds the cable drum outwardly and which has a uniform grid spacing in regard to the height (H) and depth (T) of the frame and a variable width (B) matched to the respective cable dimensioning so that the accommodating capacity of the drum body (4) and ultimately the loading capacity of the outside broadcast vehicle are used efficiently. Within the outer frame boundary, means attached to the frame (1) for rotational support in combination with an unwinding brake (17) for the drum body (4) and means for protecting the plug attached to the cable are formed. The space-saving stackable cable drums are easy to handle. |
