On-belt analyser system

An analyser system including: a housing including a tunnel for receiving a conveyor belt carrying a material to be analysed in the tunnel; a neutron source to emit neutrons into the material for absorption therein; and a gamma ray detector to detect gamma rays emitted by the material in response to the neutron absorption; wherein the tunnel is dimensioned to allow the belt to travel therethrough in freely suspended relation in order to allow analysis of the material in the tunnel without the belt being subject to wear within the tunnel.
