<p>The aggregate for forming sound absorption layer (5) of a noise protection device (10), comprises a base layer (6) formed from reinforced or unreinforced concrete, where the sound absorption layer is provided on the base layer and is formed from a mineral binder and mineral additives. The aggregate is formed from a high-polymer, elastic, surface mineralized material, and rubber granules, where a coating layer directly surrounds the rubber granules, and a mineral coating is provided on the coating layer. The rubber granules are formed from recycled used tires such as lightweight used tires, and have an average grain size of 2-7 mm. The coating layer has a layer thickness of 50-200 mu m.
