The wiper (1) has a wiping device (3) arranged at a lower end of a handle (2). A sliding sleeve (5) is brought from a wiping position into a pressing position by movement of the sleeve. A pressing device is designed as a press housing (6), which comprises narrow side surfaces (6.1), broad side surfaces (6.2) and an opening (7) that faces the wiping device, where folded wiping plate flanks (4.2) are partially guided into the press housing via the opening. A layer of closed cell foam and rubber is fixed at a lower side of a wiping plate (4). Press rollers (8) are provided in a press gap.
