<p>Tris-hydroxyaryl compound with a metal-ion content of less than 10 ppm, is new. Independent claims are also included for: (1) producing tris-hydroxyaryl compound; and (2) purifying the metal ion-containing tris-hydroxyaryl compound, comprising (a) conditioning a sulfonic acid group-containing active ion exchanger with a solvent, which is suitable for handling the tris-hydroxyaryl compound, (b) producing a solution of the tris-hydroxyaryl compound to be purified in the solvent, which is suitable for the handling of the tris-hydroxyaryl compound, (c) continuously or discontinuously contacting the tris-hydroxyaryl compound-containing solution from (b) with the conditioned ion exchanger from (a), (d) separating the tris-hydroxyaryl compound-containing solution from (c) of the conditioned ion exchanger, and (e) at least partially removing the solvent from the solution of the tris-hydroxyaryl compound separated in (c) under low temperature stress.</p> |
