<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrical connector for flat conductor in which a pressing member does not come off by receiving an external force in lateral direction at a closed position. <P>SOLUTION: The electrical connector for flat conductor has a pressing member 40 capable of rotating between an open position easy to receive a flat conductor P and a closed position to press the flat conductor which is supported by a rotation support part 25A of a support arm 25. A locking member 30 which is made of a metal plate and of which plate face is in parallel to a terminal 20 is installed in a housing 10 and has a locking projection 32 protruding in a crossing direction to a face parallel to the face of the flat conductor. The locking projection 32 extends over a position corresponding to the rotation center of the pressing member 40 in a projection direction of the locking projection 32, and the pressing member 40 is formed with a receiving space 44 to receive the locking projection 32 in the closed position, and the receiving space 44 has an inner wall formed along the surroundings of the locking projection in a range longer than the half of the surrounding of the locking projection 32 in a cross-section of a parallel face to the face of the flat conductor P. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
