Present archery recurve bows have long limbs typically made from fibreglass and wood, which put such bows at a disadvantage for storage and usage. In this invention heat treated carbon steel recurve bow limbs are shorter in length, and when attached to the main bow frame known as the " riser ", makes such a bow more compact for storage, transporting, and for usage in situations with limited space such as hunting blinds, tree stands, and while carrying through thick forest. Carbon steel recurve limbs have equal and more power than fibreglass and wood recurve limbs due to the high tensile strength of the heat treated carbon steel , enabling the limbs to be more curved and elastic for a greater range of movement. Recurve bows have two detachable or non detachable limbs connected at there ends by a bowstring that propels an archery arrow when drawn backwards. The term " recurve " is the common name for this archery bow type and the limbs .
