PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve reliability of a work direction changing device by suppressing run-out of work during direction change. SOLUTION: The work direction changing device 1 is provided with a rotary table 8 with a rotation axis X slanted at a first angle to an opposite side of a carry-in chute 2 side with respect to a vertical direction and slanted at a second angle to a carry-out chute 4 side, and rotated when receiving the work 3 from a carry-in position to a carry-out position by weight of the work 3, and a work receiving part 9 supported so as to rock by a supporting point 16 on the rotary table 8, becoming parallel with the rotary table 8 in a state of not receiving the work 3, having a trailing edge part lowered by the weight of the work 3 when the work 3 is received and the work 3 goes over the supporting point 16, and slanting at a third angle smaller than the second angle with respect to the rotary table 8.
