PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an in-vehicle information terminal capable of getting up-to-date road traffic information in a necessary situation. SOLUTION: The necessity of VICS information is determined (steps S3-S7), and a VICS request is transmitted to a VICS information distribution server (step S8), when the necessity is determined.
