The supply meter (10) has a sealed screw terminating at a front area of a housing (12), and a seal (26) for protecting the sealed screw. A cover (16) is provided for the sealed screw and is foldably, insertably or movably attached to the housing such that the sealed screw is covered from outside and the seal is freely accessible from outside in a closed condition of the cover. The cover has a plate (30) with a circular recess (32) for retaining the seal, where the recess has a bottom with a cover-like bulge for covering an upper end area of the screw in the closed condition.
