A balancing shaft (1) is proposed for compensating for mass forces and/or mass moments of an internal combustion engine, comprising an unbalance section (2) and a bearing journal (5, 6) for the radial mounting of the balancing shafts of the internal combustion engine, wherein the unbalance section and the bearing journal are produced separately from one another from different materials and are subsequently joined axially to one another by means of a torsionally stiff pin/hole connection. Here, the pin/hole connection is to be configured so as to act positively in the rotational direction of the balancing shaft and is to have two pins (8, 9, 10, 11) and associated holes (12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19) which extend eccentrically with respect to the shaft axis (3). |
