A method for the ultrastructure diagnosis of the hibernation of myocardium in ischemic heart disease provides for the detection of glycogen granules in cardiomyocytes. The accumulation and aggregation of glycogen granules in rosette shape (alpha-glycogen) suggests the severe and irreversible hibernation of cardiomyocytes requiring the surgery. |
