A method of removal of suspended matter in moving fluid in which the fluid is introduced into a settling plant, where the suspended matter at a certain velocity of the fluid freely settles or floats on a sloping path. Into the moving fluid across the direction of movement of the suspended matter an agent object of impact with higher energy than the moving suspended matter is introduced, at collision with which the suspended matter changes the trajectory of sedimentation or flotation.
