<p>The invention relates to a method for the industrial purification of biologically active phyctotoxins. According to said method, an adequate quantity of a phycotoxin source is provided; if the source of phycotoxins is a pellet, it is lysed using appropriate methods; the material from the lysis of the cyanobacteria is subjected to a cold extraction; a concentrate from the aqueous phase obtained in the previous step or from the culture medium of the first step is produced; the concentrate is centrifuged to produce a supernatant; the supernatant is passed through a diatomaceous earth column producing a phycotoxin eluate; the eluate obtained in the previous step is passed through activated carbon columns; the eluate from the previous step is passed once again through a diatomaceous earth column; the eluate from the previous step is left in the aqueous phase; and the partially purified extract from the previous step is subjected to preparative HPLC in various steps, in order to produce the pure, biologically active phycotoxin.</p> |
