Novelty: A new ovary-produced hormone called Gonadotrophin Surge Attenuating Factor (GnSAF). The isolation of the GnSAF from female follicle's liquid has been identified as carboxytelic fragment of the human serum albumin exhibiting molecular mass of 12,5 kDa thereabouts. Synthetic derivatives of the human albumin correspond to the carboxytelic fragment of the albumin (subdomain IIIB) and present GnSAF activity in vitro. The carboxytelic fragment is expressed in the granular cells of human follicles. Purpose: The synthetic preparation of the GnSAF can constitute the base for pharmaceutical use against subfertility, for contraception purposes, or for the facing of other pathological situations as well. |
