A multi-purpose turning machine comprises a bed with guides, a spindle head equipped with a spindle unit with a chuck and a turret located on support in the form of a platform and rods of constant length as to be movable along the guides from the drives of longitudinal feed. The spindle head is swivel with an individual drive and rotatable about an axis in the plane perpendicular to the axis of the spindle unit. The individual drive is cinematically connected through a self-braking gear. |
