The system has a cord accessible from outside of a structure of a vehicle, in the case of accidental closing of an opening on the structure. The cord crosses a casing (11) and cooperates with a lever (14) to release a lock from a strike (5) mounted on the structure, by a handle adapted to the operator. An end (106) of the cord is terminated by a widened end (109) and intended to come into the casing when the operator handles the cord to release the lock, for avoiding intrusion of the end inside of the casing in the event of rupture of the cord. An independent claim is also included for a method for actuation of a lock implemented starting from an actuation system.
