The method involves estimating quantum of service to be rendered to a terminal according to a preliminary session parameter established before provisions of the service, where the preliminary session is stopped on request of the terminal. The service quantum is estimated by receiving a request for access to the service sent by the terminal, establishing the preliminary session, determining interruption of the preliminary session estimating a period of the preliminary session and estimating the quantum of the service provided to terminal.
